Watch This Before Buying Decked Truck Tool Box

In this video, we’re gonna show you the ins and outs of the Decked Truck Toolbox. This Decked box is built to be up for a challenge, whether you’re using the truck storage for power tools, lumber, or hardware or something non-work related like hunting, fishing or any other type of sports or camping gear, it’s not gonna bend or break in the slightest.

I got their latest model, with the ladder, installed in my truck and after a few weeks of use, I wanna share my thoughts with you guys in case you’re in the market for an add-on like this one.

  1. Seems nice, but that single lock seems like a security vulnerability. I’m not sure if it is just me, but I think I would’ve preferred a spot(s) to lock it down with padlocks instead.

  2. Here’s my problem. I know several guys who have the decked bed slide boxes. They all sag. In Southern Arizona, when it’s 115+ in the shade the plastic will sag. Needless to say all the guys that had em ran a year then pulled it out. As we had 100 plus days consecutive that were well over 100 degrees.
If I load that box with a couple hundred pounds how well is it going to hold up?
Cool ideas, but not for anywhere it gets hot.

  3. I have a 2019 F-150 with the bed drawer system. There is 17.5" space in front that I want to install the crossover box in. Before I pay this amount for the crossover, I need to know that it will fit. When I look online it appears that these decked crossovers are not the same even though they appear to be. There can be up to 3" difference in sizes. The problem is that they don’t all specify the important measurement that I am needing to confirm its depth front to back. Is there a service number with the decked company that I can call and discuss this to make sure I’m getting the correct model for my truck? Thanks!

  4. The ladder is not always necessary and the ladder does utilize the box storage space. It would have been nicer if RAM put a shoe/boot hole step in the side of the bumper that allowed you to jump into the bed.

  5. First time stepping on the latter it broke and I’m 160 pounds and lock worked a couple of times to busy to replace

  6. Tool boxes seem so dated to me, they look like such a hassle. I rather get a ridged Tonneau cover and get pelican boxes .

  7. I wanted to buy one of these so I looked on marketplace. There tons of these with huge cracks in them. Huge disappointment..

  8. Have had one of these for three years about. Only complaints are the silver side handles and Decked logo are aluminum and corroded under the paint causing it to peel off and look like crap. The lid does take some effort to close on both ends (slamming it down) and the push buttons to open it get pretty stiff.

  9. I’m sold on the box itself. I only have one question. Whats the space under the box and the truck bed? is it enough to slide a 6′ ladder under my 6’4" bed and still be able to close the tail gate and not have it lay on an angle on top of the tail gate?

  10. What about sun fade over time? I haven’t seen 1 advertisement on this box that says anything about whether it does or does not. Just curious, because the old plastic ones would. Will the warranty cover that if it does?

  11. It’s a legit lifetime warranty. No other company is honoring that on a truck tool box. Weather guard’s limited life time warranty is a joke.

  12. The price is a bit steep. I have the Decked sliding bed draw system and it’s only a $300 price difference.

  13. How is the fit against the horizontal truck bed rail? Does it overlap that edge of the bed? The lid looks a bit close to the glass when open.
