Great vid! ❤
Aluminum foil wrap
Will doing my exhaust make check engine light come on??? I want to do exhaust but dont want to cause problem
Back presser is for the gas mileage in low hp keeping the pop out and well adjusted fuel ratio to you o2 sensors. In open thro your good for more hp.

Pipe diameter can effect back pressure.
For the amount of money the big three want for their vehicles they should all be aluminum dipping the frames on their cars, mainly trucks.
🖕🏻the EPA
Screw the EPA
304 isn’t as good as 316. 409 is better for axles.
Gas Velocity, not back pressure
Back pressure is the atmosphere at sea level pushing down your exhaust system at 1 Bar or 14 PSI. If your engine can’t overcome that problem with valving it will stop even though the intake uses the same pressure. Excellent video, the bubble analogy is perfect, I’m gonna use that in my brain from now on thankyou.
For anyone unaware. Stainless just means it "stains less".
My Chevy 2003 4.3 Astro had a pretty free flowing Thrush muffler on it, and although I am an 80’s Kid, I just couldn’t take the loudness any longer. I had a stock muffler put back on it, and the power increase was quite noticeable. So, I guess I was NEEDING some back pressure added back in? It ran fine before, but better now!
Now having an aftermarket exhaust. Does it do anything to help out with gas mileage? Or is it just basically four horsepower torque ???
Great Video! Thank you 🔥👏💪🫶
Very Good video…
very informative and helpful video. thank you for sharing
Most important thing.. make sure it comes out from under your vehicle..
I did a true duel, but how can I queit it down?
Ford uses a good steel stock. Ever Ford, I’ve had I never had my stock exhaust rust.
Not for the type of vehicle I’m looking for but still very informative and you come across as humble and helpful. Thanks and best wishes. 🙌🏼
Over 22 years ago now I bought a 304 series Complete 4” system for my LB-7 2002 GMC SIERRA. It STILL looks almost as new as the day I installed it in my driveway back then. It was $720 back then , when most of the non -stainless 4” systems were less than 1/2 that price, but I feel it was plenty worth it in the long run . The old “ you get what you pay for “ holds true in most cases. Plus it sounds killer . The company was “ Hog Industries” but they went out of business not long after I bought it , probably because of the price . Too bad……😕. Anyway enjoyed this video , thanks.
I have a rattle in exhaust system in my 2006 Silverado 1500 , like something is loose
Why is stainless steel expensive and it’s not recycled, recyclers don’t give anything for stainless steel
I have a 2021 chevy colorado. How would muffler position, effect the tone, and single verses dual 3"?
Doing an axle dump, 1-2 single chamber into an x pipe, then turn down tips.
I used irrigation pipe! 🤷🏼♂️
Ingot an 04 titan with a magnaflow cat back. It’s got some miles. No leaks or holes but when cold. It makes a clap sound under load high rpm or when cold even lower rpm. What would cause it I don’t believe any leaks or holes.
Exhaust shiny exhaust no shiny….. Exhaust loud exhaust no loud me like exhaust……jk jk….I just bought a z1 off road cat back exhaust 304 ss for my 2023 titan pro 4x hopefully it sounds good
Germans exhaust will never rust , the Exhaust from my car is 37 years old ….and still the first one ….on a diesel car….
Dude. What an amazing video. Thanks brother.
5:00 he edits XD
Use 316 stainless
Quick question: What is the difference in sound, etc between muffler+resonator delete+ straight pipes and tips vs muff+reson delete and "dumps" like after/behind the cab?? Whats the difference, what do you recommend?? Thanks.
304 stainless can become slightly magnetic over time with high temperatures. I know this to be a fact from my experience from testing metals at scrap yards with a PMI (positive metal identfier) gun. I’ve tested hundreds of pieces of 304 that a magnet would stick to and the majority of this stainless come out of heat exchangers. Even 316 stainless would be magnetic sometimes depending on how hot it got but a magnet would just barely pull on the 316.
To paint the inside of exhaust…
Install steel exhaust, start engine, feed continuous spray paint into intake. About 12 cans.👌
Hi asking about best exhaust bolt stainless or hightensil bolta
Which material weight less? Same diameter pipe.
Hello..just received your "Like" of my Response. Thanks…1 thing I will add that is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT with street exhaust systems- Pipe size..too large a pipe will slow exhaust Velocity-which is performance LOST….Exhaust gases slow as they cool…Apply this Fact and help performance ….don’t ask how many MPG in Silverado 2500HD Ext cab >8.1l I gets now…almost TWICE what other 8.1l owners communicate…partly due to exhaust system….tried ALL Kinds of combinations….seems to be very impressive…but, a HEAVY FOOT CAN ALSO GET ME 7-8 mpg…LOL!…
1) it’s usually below the truck
2) it’s made of metal
3) it makes things louder or quieter
4) never put an aftermarket exhaust on a V6, unless it has a turbo too
5) they can be shiny and not shiny
Salt….what about that brine….1 year n she’s rusty!
It’s Mill ed steel not mile d steel
I just want something quiet and short so I can save space under my rig for more gas
Why not just spray some of that bedliner stuff?
I just run mine with no headers or exaust…OR engine for that matter.lmao goes like a raped ape
Come to Canada and get the turbo back exhaust and tuner so you can roll some coal.
Inlet nipple rusted out on a Spintech and a Magnaflow, within a couple of years. Autozone turbo has lasted 6 years, still good. 2014 Silverado 5.3. Sounds great.
great video, lots of good pointers!
just don’ t believe everything you hear or read without doing your on research!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
